Introduction

The Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC), established by Construction Industry Council (CIC), invited SLCL to organise sports activities, including sports training, fitness test, and fitness training and acted as ambassadors for their events to promote sports to their industry and holistic development of their students.

  1. To promote sports to construction industry
  2. To encourage their students to improve their physical ability for the future career
  3. To promote students’ holistic development

Programme Activities

Sports Training Programme

HKIC co-organised sports training programme, including a wide variety of sports, in 2017 to 19 academic years, so they can have a taste of different sports, develop exercise habit and enhance their fitness level.

Fitness Test and Ambassador

SLCL have been invited to organised a booth to provide fitness test service for the participants of Construction Industry Sports Day and Charity Fun Day in 2018 and 2019. Mr. WONG Kam Po and the coaches also acted as ambassadors in the fundraising session,“Construction Charity Run”.

Fitness Challenge Competition

On 27 June and 6 August 2021, SLCL organised “Fitness Challenge Competition”, a competition event comprising ten bodyweight exercises, for the students of the Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) under the Construction Industry Council (CIC), which allowed them to challenge their fitness, encourage them to be more physically prepared for the future career and promote holistic development.
